Travel Indochinas brand transition to Insider Journeys

first_imgAfter 21 years as Travel Indochina, the Asia travel specialist has announced it will undergo a major rebrand, including changing its name to Insider Journeys.Effective from 2nd February 2015, the newly named Insider Journeys and its accompanying new brand aspects, including a new website and brochures, will better reflect the company’s philosophy and core focus, as well as tapping into the romance of travel.“With 21 years’ history and experience, we feel we’ve ‘come of age’ and the time is right to make this major change, capturing the notion of richer, more intimate travel experiences in the style we offer,” Travel Indochina managing director and co-founder Paul Hole said.The new slogan “Imagine the stories”, further supports the key messaging that travel is as much about the memories and shared stories as it is about the journey itself.“Insider Journeys illustrates our ‘Insider’ knowledge and insights into the communities we visit and the depth of experience and understanding we share with our travellers, while the ‘Journeys’ component clearly explains our core focus within the business of delivering escorted small group journeys.”Travel Indochina general manager, customer experience and marketing, Joe Ponte, says rebranding is an especially huge step for a company established in a particular market, and the change was treated with careful consideration.“The decision to rebrand has been underpinned by a very rigorous and deliberate strategic process over the past 18 months, including consumer research and working closely with our creative agency for many months, to arrive at where we are today,” Mr Ponte said.The result will see newly branded brochures bringing the brand to life through rich textures, evocative wording and improved layouts to inspire and assist travellers in choosing the best journey.Since it began operating small group journeys and tailor-made holidays in 1993, Travel Indochina has gone on to become one of the leading travel experts of the Indochina region, and has in recent years expanded further throughout Asia to include Japan, China, India, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.“I’m exceptionally proud of the company we’ve built and would like to give people a better sense of what it is we offer so they can share in the journey and the stories too,” Mr Hole said.Travel agents can expect the “Asia Guru” online training portal to receive an update while the new Insider Journeys brochures, which will replace current Travel Indochina brochures, will showcase extra insights into a region in the new ‘Insider Experiences’ boxes.
