One suspect arrested in Simcoe stabbing

One of two suspects wanted in connection with a stabbing at Norfolk General Hospital has been arrested.Derrick Anthony Adams, 38, of Norfolk County was arrested on Thursday on Water Street in Simcoe.Members of the Norfolk/Haldimand Community Street Crime Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team took him into custody without incident.Adams is one of two men accused of being involved in a stabbing of a third man at the emergency entrance at NGH on Aug. 23.Adams has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, uttering threats to cause death of bodily harm and three counts of failing to comply with probation order.Police are continuing to search for the second suspect, Jean Pierre Auclair, 36, who may be heading to the Brantford and Hamilton areas.Auclair is described as white, 6’0″, 220 pounds with a medium build. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.Police say anyone who sees Auclair should not approach him but rather immediately call 911. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or your nearest police authority.
