‘May you bring more laurels to India’: Twitter applauds Vijender Singh on tenth straight win

first_imgStar Indian boxer Vijender Singh on Saturday maintained his unbeaten record as he defeated Ernest Amuzu from Ghana by unanimous decision in the Rajasthan Rumble fight in front of a packed Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur.Vijender, who didn’t have the ideal preparation coming into this bout, didn’t need to go all out throughout the fight as Amuzu proved to be no match in front of the Haryana boxer’s power and reach. This was Vijender’s second fight against an African boxer. He faced Francis Cheka from Tanzania last year in December and won the bout through technical knockout in the third round. The 31-year-old obviously had the advantage of a longer reach over Amuzu and he used it to full effect.Twitter congratulated the Olympic for his unbeaten record in his professional boxing career.Sushil Kumar, India’s Olympic silver medallist, also congratulated Vijender and wished him more success and more name and fame to the Indian.म?र? भा? @boxervijender ?? ??त ?? बधा?!!! य?ँ ह? द?श ?ा नाम र?शन ?रत? रह? म?र? भा?।??????#IndiaBullsRajasthanRumble- Sushil Kumar (@WrestlerSushil) December 23, 2017Many politicians also attended Vijender’s boxing event and took to Twitter thereafter to congratulate him.And the victory mode continues….Congratulations @boxervijender on winning 10th Successive Pro-Boxing BOut, beating Ernest Amuzu and remains WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental Super Middleweight Champion. pic.twitter.com/YK9Va5GCS5- Sunil Deodhar (@Sunil_Deodhar) December 23, 2017Thoroughly enjoyed watching Vijender Singh v/s Ernest Amuzu bout live in Jaipur.
